"Hello Frank,
Thank you for the picture it looks great.  I am eager to see your other shots.  Frank, as far as visiting your CrossFit Gym “CrossFit Gulf Coast” and conducting some of your excellent training (loved the40 lb sand bag thruster throws, band training, and especially the 120lb and 90lb ball blasts) and receiving information about some of your WOD concepts and training philosophies, it was an honor and excellent experience.  Your hospitality, professionalism, and respect for the Armed Forces is indescribable.  Thank You.  I will definitely stop in and train with you next time I am in the Sarasota/Tampa area.  Take Care and Cover Your Six!  Very Respectfully, Dennis

"Frank's combination of crossfit, kettlebell workouts, and his Strength for the Streets exercises were the best training I have ever done. Each day, Frank had a well constructed, challenging workout that targeted various muscle groups, while maintaining a high heart rate.  This is circuit training at its best.  In 30-45 minutes, you can achieve a total body workout, which includes your daily cardio as well.  From now on I will be focusing on Crossfit-type circuits as the bulk of my workout regiment routines.

Here's some feedback about CrossFit Gulf Coast:

Frank,

I really enjoyed the Basic Crossfit seminar.  I felt I got my moneys worth 1 hour into the seminar.  I've been using the Crossfit Concepts to lose weight and get myself back into shape.  Your seminar will help me correct some of my training mistakes, and venture into new excercises with the correct method.

I like Crossfit because it builds functional strength.  The training Crossfit offers is right online with the day to day requirements of being a Police Officer.  I plan to pass this information on to my department's training section.

Heres the brief BIO you requested:

13 year Veteran Police Officer
Law Enforcement Krav Maga Instructor
Veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Coast Guard.

Thanks... I'll be back for more.

Dear Frank:

I started Kettlebell training in Los Angeles under Sifu Inosanto. I was thrilled when I found you in Sarasota. I figured I was going to have to buy kettlebells online and learn from videos or on trips to LA.

I just wanted to write and let you know how much I enjoyed the workshop on Saturday, August 4th. I've done weights for years but was getting burned out after 25 years and needed a boost. Kettlebells have been a real shot in the arm for me. It's quick and efficient!  Your teaching is very informative and geared toward many types of people whether an athlete or someone just wanting to get in better shape.
I plan on incorporating the bands and kettlebells into my martial arts school for added conditioning for the students. They are going to love it.....................
Thanks again for the informative and great workout.

Regards,

Frank,

I would like to apologize for not getting your request sooner, and I would like to thank you again for holding the seminar last Saturday.  I definitely learned a few things, and it was a pleasure to have you as instructor/teacher and training in your facility.....you got my hooked on the kettlebells and rockball.

As you requested, I am sending you a brief history of my Crossfit experience and why I started Crossfit...........

I was a competitive bodybuilder in my early teens and twenties, therefore, the bodybuilding/powerlifting workouts were all I knew.  After graduating college I stopped training, and for the first time in my life I did not feel athletic.  I balloned up to 320lbs (thanks to Crosfit I am now 282lbs and going to 240lbs).

I was introduced to Crossfit via a friend.  One of his friends emailed him about Crossfit, but neither of us looked into it at that time.  About two months later I was playing on the net and remembered the Crossfit website so I decided to check it out.  After watching the "Nasty Girls" workout, I was hooked.....I stayed up until 5 am looking through the website and watching the videos.  After doing some modified WOD for about a month, we decided to try Linda, aka 3 Bars or Death.  Needless to say, we have be doing Crossfit ever since (April 28, 2007 was the first true Crossfit workout).

The main reason why I am so attracted to and started training Crossfit is that is so functional.  The traditional meathead (bodybuilding) workouts serve no functional purpose.  After doing Crossfit since April, I can honestly say I am starting to feel like an athlete again.  The other reason I am continuing is due to the Crossfit community.  After attending your seminar, I got the feeling that the Crossfit community is a close group with people that care about functional fitness and wellness.....hopefully the majority of facilities have someone like you there to help.

Again, I would like to thank you for the seminar, and I will definitely stop in the next time I am Sarasota and take you up on the WOD.  Good luck with the new location!

Sincerely,

Stephan Marcella

Frank, I want to thank you again for giving me a great workout and all that helpful info. I hope I am able to repay you someday.

Do you mind if I put a link to your site on my site?

I will call you later this week to tell you about that Boot Camp in Hillsboro county.

Again great workout and Spartans love to workout!!!!!!

"I have been working with Frank for the last 10 months. Before starting, I had neglected physical coniditioning for the usual reasons – busy work schedule and hectic family life. We have been working out 3 times a week – 30 minutes per session. I have been impressed with Frank’s patience and quiet encouragement. His no nonsense approach has paid dividends for me. I have lost 10 pounds and doubled my strength and aerobic capacity. More importantly, I feel better and have more energy. I would heartily recommend Frank and his program to anyone."
