What to do? What to do?
Once again, the Bay's cigar shop are scheduling overlapping events, forcing cigar aficionados to drive around like mad men, or sacrifice one event in favor of another. Last night, both Cigar Castle and Edward's of Valrico were having one, tonight it's Edward's of Tampa and Vincent & Tampa. For me, it was a tough decision; I love the Cigar Castle events, but I was already committed to be at Edward's so I decided to bite the bullet and stay there for the duration. But other brave souls were willing to fight the rainstorm and they took off around 8 pm to catch the last hour of the Cigar Castle event. Did they make it? I hope so. Was it worth it? They said it was.

Happy 4th of July!
Last Friday we had 3 events and so far I've heard from 2 of them, the Edward's of Tampa and Valrico. I heard the one in Tampa had over 170 cigar aficionados tasting the new Oliva Siglo V, and the comments are quite favorable. I had the opportunity to sample one and found it enjoyable but the finish was a little too harsh for my taste. At the one in Valrico, Perdomo and Juan Lopez shared the spotlight and the reception was quite good to both. Well, enjoy the 4th! Let's see what new and exciting event July brings...

"Smoking a cigar gives you a chance to sit back and
take things slow for a bit. You can wipe all of the
day's thoughts out of  your brain for that short period
and just relax and enjoy the peace"

Smoking a cigar is nothing like smoking a cigarette. When you smoke a cigar, you have time to think. It teaches you patience and tolerance, and gives you an appreciation of good company.
