Buescher 1926 Satin
Silver Plated Eb Baritone. I acquired this saxophone in March of 2000. It is also from eBay! The statement by the seller was that it
needed an overhaul. Upon arrival, it turned
out that the saxophone had been dropped on the bell, and the body tube
bent. My repairman was able to
straighten the tube, level the tone holes, and replace all the pads. The drop did not damage the bell! Now this beast plays as good as new. I marched in the Temecula, CA 4th of
July Parade with this sax. It was a
big change from my alto. I combined this saxophone with a Le Blanc
mouthpiece, just like the C-Tenor. Now my children call this instrument the
“foghorn”. Low Bb is a real window
rattler! |
