1921 Dark Lacquer C Tenor (C-Melody). I bought this saxophone
from eBay in late 1999. From the
description and pictures I thought this was a Bb Tenor. However, upon receipt I discovered that it
was a C-Tenor. Having decided to add
a C-Tenor to my collection, I decided to keep this beautiful saxophone. All it needed was an adjustment, and it
played fine. I added a new Le Blanc B6 C-Melody mouthpiece (similar to a
Selmer C*) for perfect tone. The Le
Blanc uses Bb Tenor reeds. The
mouthpiece is available from Woodwind
and Brasswind. |
