The band was small this year, but we did have TWO base saxophones playing “Surf City USA”!

Wade (foreground) playing his 1921 Buescher BBb Bass Saxophone and Dylan (near background) playing his 1917 Buescher BBb Bass Saxophone.  These two carried by entire bass line for the parade!

Drum major Brianne leads the small ragtag band in our rendition of “Surf City USA!”  Notice we only have THREE files (the men on the right are non-musicians escorting the band and giving us water between sets).

Even though it was a small band, we had quite a mix of instruments!  In this picture you can see our Bass saxophone, Mellophone, Alto Saxophone, Flute, Trumpet and Bass Drum!

Dylan had never marched with this huge BBb Bass saxophone but played like a pro!

Since we were playing “Surf City USA!” we decided to dress for a day at the beach!  Our band charges NO fees, and earns NO money, so our uniforms are simply a suggested style of dress and everyone wears what they think is appropriate!
