Example 1

To transpose from the key of "C" to the key of "Eb", (such as for transposing piano music to music for the alto saxophone), select the "C" and "Eb" columns and then read the transposed notes.

1.                   Select the column that represents the key you are transposing from.  In this case, the C column.

2.                   Select the column that represents the key you are transposing to.  In this case, the Eb Column.

3.                   The note in the "to" column is the transposed note of the note in the "from" column.
