Practice at site A33
If you're going to be at family camp this year, come on over to site A33(Redshaw site) at 9:00am Sunday morning for quiz practice. It will be fun. We'll practice for about an hour and then head over to the Sunday morning service so bring what you will need for the service (Bible, chair) to practice.

Of course you probably know by now that most of the Redshaws are pretty fanatical about quizzing, so if you want to talk about quizzing or quote verses -come on by anytime during the weekend and we'll be happy to talk quizzing over a can of pop or a s'more.

By the way, I thought practice Sunday went well. We're off to a good start. I will have homework for you.....really...

It's never too late to join. Our next practice at the church will be Wednesday, September 3rd. I'll see you there.

New Beginings
I can't believe that it's time to start a new quiz season. Where has my summer gone? Tomorrow I'm off to Salem for a quizmasters and coaches training session. Sunday is our first quiz practice on the book of Luke. Pray for me as I travel and do all of the beginning of the year preparations.

I hope that you are looking forward to a new year. A fresh start with all kinds of new possibilities. Maybe you're reading this and you haven't decided whether teen quizzing is for you. Try it! See what things God will do in and through your life if you spend 15 minutes a day in His word.

A Note About Practice Times
Thank you to everyone who e-mailed me their preferred practice times. I am so very sorry that everyone could not have the time they wanted. Please let me explain. There were some quizzers and sponsors for whom Sunday morning was their only available practice time. Most of you who preferred Sunday nights were available Wednesday nights. I tried my best to arrange the practice times so that everyone who wanted to be involved in quizzing could make it to one practice a week.

"What if I can't make either practice time?" you may ask. That's a good question. You may learn the material on your own and join us for the quiz meets. Be warned- very few teens have the determination to keep studying without the encouragement gained by coming to practice. (And we will miss you a lot)Please try and make it to at least one practice a week. If you have to miss practice please study at home. We will try very hard to stick to the study schedule listed on the schedule page.
