The November Quiz- Registration and MemoryIt's time for me to register for the November 8th Quiz at Eugene 1st. I will need to hear from all of you no later than
Sunday, November 2nd. You need to count all of the questions you have written on chapters 4-8 of Luke
and let me know the number. You will also need to arrange a time to quote your memory to me before the quiz.
I am willing to listen to memory in the van on the way to the quiz, but we all know that, (quoting in the van) is difficult,
and I may not be able to listen to all 9 quizzers memory during a 2 hour van ride. OKAY I'D BETTER NOT BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO
ALL 9 QUIZZERS MEMORY DURING A TWO HOUR VAN RIDE SO START STUDYING.

Saturday I was disappointed that the WBQA quiz was cancelled Saturday, but I had a great time at the impromtu Beaverton vs
Hillsboro practice. It was fun to have a chance to get to know other quizzers and coaches in our area. Thank you Beaverton
for inviting us.

Keep on Keepin OnIt's been a busy fall for me and I think that it's been busy for a lot of you too. In the midst of your daily chaos,
try and carve out at least 5 to 10 minutes a day to work on your quizzing. Use Luke as your daily devotion time. Memorize
just one verse a day. Sometimes writing the verse on the bathroom mirror with a dry erase pen can help you memorize it. Quote
it over and over as you brush your teeth. Read 5-10 verses a day and try to write a few questions on the verses. I've been
told that you can write 5 questions on most medium sized verses.
I hope this helps give you some ideas on how to squeeze quizzing time out of your busy days. The most important thing
of all though, is to just keep on keeping on!

WBQA October 25thThe WBQA quiz is October 25th. I noticed that I had put the wrong date on both my calendar and the church calendar. I'm
going to get both of those changed ASAP. Until then help me get out the word.

WBQAOctober 25th will be an optional WBQA style quiz at Rose City church of the Nazarene. World Bible Quizzing is a lot of
fun, but it is different from Nazarene quizzing. WBQA quizzing is best suited for those quizzers who are quick and have memorized
a lot of the material. There will be a few "free" questions for novices, but the quizzing is usually fast and sometimes it's
hard to get a jump. I don't want anyone to get discouraged at WBQA and then not want to quiz in November when we have our
first "real" Nazarene style quiz. We'll do some WBQA style quizzing in practice over the next few weeks so you can see if
you like it or not. If you have questions, please talk to Jon-Mark. He's our resident WBQA expert.
I need to know by October 12th whether or not you will be able to attend the October 25th quiz. Please see the information
page about cost and time.
A big thank you to everyone who attended quiz camp. I know that most of us had not studied as much as we would have liked,
but you kept good attitudes anyway. What do you think? Should we have a round of all situation questions in practice like
we did at quiz camp?
