- Driving North on 14 (from Mojave, etc.): About a mile past the Jawbone Store, turn right on the Randsburg
Road. After about 12 miles, the road forks. Stay on the left fork (called Garlock Road) for 8 miles until you reach 395. Turn
left (north) on 395. After about 3 miles, turn right on Searles Road. Stay on this until you reach the train tracks. Make
a right turn onto the dirt immediately after the tracks. Follow that for a couple hundred yards and turn left. Go straight
for a 1/4 mile and you'll reach a large flat area. We will be making camp there.
- Driving South on 14 (from Ridgecrest, Lone Pine, etc.): From the 395, turn left on Searles Station Rd
and follow the rest of the directions from the previous section.
- Driving North on 395 (from 58/395 junction): Just North of Johannesburg, stay on 395 until you hit Searless and
turn right. Follow the rest of the directions from the section 1.
There will be signs posted designating the direction.
