CONVICTION WITHOUT BODY
The family of Karen Jo Smith celebrated
in 2005 after her ex-husband was sentenced to 95 years in her
slaying. A jury found Steven D. Halcomb, 41, guilty in December 2004 of killing Smith, whose body has never been found.
"When
you have as much compelling circumstantial evidence as we have in this case and it's put together and presented in the right
way, you can win," Brizzi said after the conviction.
