George Stevens is a native
of Southern California. He has dedicated his life to being of service and helping people in need. He completed seminary, earned
a Master of Divinity degree, and was ordained a Catholic priest in 1983. He served at churches in Los Angeles and Orange County.
In 1997, George resigned from active ministry as a cleric and pursued employment outside of the structure of the church, but
continued to be of service to people in need. He has been employed as a Career Counselor and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
since 1997 and is a Certified Vocational Evaluator. He works with people who are disabled and disadvantaged and helps them
to see their skills and strengths and helps them find suitable employment. He is now licensed with the American Fellowship
Church and a member of the National Association of Wedding Ministers. George, his partner of eleven years, their adopted son
and foster daughter live in Long Beach.
Although he has a strong
catholic, Christian background, he has an understanding and appreciation of many faiths and traditions. He can help you design
a ceremony for your tastes – from a traditional, religious, or spiritual experience to a civil, secular, non-denominational
ceremony or anything in between. He is bilingual in Spanish and can include readings or prayers in Spanish for bilingual couples.
