Marion: "Art makes possible the communication
of an idea, with a look, with a touch in an instant perception without binding it in a web of words. My jewelry becomes
a vehicle for that direct perception. The structure of each piece is an analogy drawn from my personal involvement
with life and the special experience of being a woman".

The ladies' portraits have been central to Marion's work..."the
metal shares the qualities present in a woman: beauty, endurance, and flexibilty. The unexpected potentials realized
from the metal speak for the potentials existing in all women". She focused on this concept in her Master's thesis,
ending with..."Woman is a state of being, bound to endure!"
