SLEDGEHAMMER

Sunday June 11^th ’06 was a long productive day. Chuck, Paul, Allan and his dad Rodger spent many hours on Sledgehammer. The goal was to prepare the trail for Fun in the Desert XV. When the Victor Valley 4 Wheelers first built these trails they were designed for a full-bodied Jeep running 33inch tires and two lockers. As the Hammers grew in popularity, so did the vehicles. The trail had some spots that would guarantee body damage and/or breakage. We needed to do quite a bit of work in order to ensure the vehicles it was designed for could conquer the trail. I assure you, we did not make the trail easy, we just increased the chance of survival.
