A big thank you is in order for the Parker 4 Wheelers. They put on a great event. It
was well organized and offered exceptional runs. We had four rigs in attendance. Brian & Karen along with Ron & Barb
opted for a 3+ run on Saturday. Chuck and Cindy joined myself, Lisa and Margaret on two 4+ runs. Saturday we ran deliverance
and Sunday we opted for Presidents Choice.
The runs traversed up narrow washes in the Arizona desert. Unlike our trails in Johnson
Valley both these runs had smooth stretches between obstacles. There was plenty of room to conquer an obstacle then pull forward
and let the entire group through before moving on to the next tight section or waterfall. Many of us got to use our winches
on the larger waterfalls. We also encountered some very off-camber sections to test the pucker effect on the seat cushions.
They had about a dozen trails to chose from. Maybe by the time this event rolls around
next year, I'll be running large enough tires to try the 5 rated trails. One of which required 40" tires. I don't suppose
I'll be taking my Cherokee up that one any time soon.
