This is the website for the Buddhist Discussion group, taking the place of the earlier Buddhist Book Discussion. This new group, and thus the new name, will not be limited to books, but will also include the possibility of audio tapes, videos, and guest speakers. The meeting times are every Saturday afternoon at 4:00pm.

On Saturday, June 16th, 2007, Bhante Dhammawansha from the Dharma Wheel Meditation Society in Clearwater was the speaker.

On Saturday, June 23rd, 2007, Ron Smith from the Clearwater Zen Center was the speaker.

On Saturday, February 16, 2008, we had two guest speakers. They were Jordan Thorn Roshi, Buddhist priest from the San Francisco Zen center, and Suzanne Suarez, Tampa Zendo founder.




BUDDHIST LENDING LIBRARY

The Buddhist lending library at the Baksa home is open and will remain so. Anyone is welcome to come over and browse or take out any item they wish. Please call us first, however, to make sure we're home (727-934-8040). In addition to the many books on Buddhism in the library, we also have other items, including CDs, DVDs, VHSs, mp3s, CVDs, and audio cassette tapes of lectures and books.

To those of you who have come over to avail yourselves of the items in the library, it's wonderful to see you. And for all others, please feel free to come by. New items are added to the library
on a very regular basis.

And in addition, we have kept a list of all the books we have already read in the earlier Buddhist Book Discussions, and have detailed summaries of all these books.
