Born in my bedroom closet on July 6th 1998. In a litter of 8 you being the only girl. I couldn't have been more excited as I delivered you. From the time you were 3 days old you were my go everywhere and do everything dog. You were the world to me. An International Champion and 9 points with one major towards her American championship. Your dislike for smokers and your need to be a princess at all times.....worked your way right into my heart so that you may pull at my heart strings at a later time that came all too soon and so unexpected. My heart is left with a huge hole that no dog will ever be able to fill. Loved not only by me but many others. You never met a stranger, provided unconditional love, held my deepest/darkest secrets, provided proper protection and you were the best bed dog anyone could ever have. You are pulling my heart strings deep in my heart and you are sadly missed. Rest in Peace my Baby Girl.

FLASH.....Lucy goes Winners at Long Beach KC

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

When a dog offers you her heart
Accept it with a smile
For her love will last a lifetime -
Which is such a little while.

When a dog offers you her heart
Take it gladly and with pride
For she will be a faithful friend
Ever by your side.

A dog loves you because you’re you -
Not for how you speak or what job you do
You could be short, tall, thin or fat
Or ugly as sin, she doesn’t care about that.

A dog knows if you’re good or bad
She can see inside your soul
When she decides you’re okay
To earn your love is her main goal.

When you’re sad she’ll comfort you
And kiss away each tear
You may even wake up in the morning
With a cold nose in your ear.
When eventually the lights in her eyes dim
A new star will shine in heaven
In remembrance of her.

You’ll gaze up at the midnight sky
And you will hear her say -
“I’m so glad you were my human
We’ll meet again some day!”

So, if this poem has caused a tear to fall
That’s because you love the dog who’s
Giving you her all
Go travel on together, paw in glove
She’s the only one who’ll ever give you,
Unconditional love.

When a dog offers you her heart
Accept it with a smile
For her love will last a lifetime -
Which is such a little while.
