Lost Classic Tunes of the Week

Welcome to my 427 Cobra commemoration website...
which I maintain for those who share in the passion for, and history of, the AC Motorsports Shelby 427 S/C Cobra, but also for the 289
FIA Cobra as well as the legendary Daytona Coupe and Ford GT. I hope your visit is enjoyable and informative; I welcome your feedback.

To tell you a little bit about me...
I have owned my 427 S/C since July of 2007. I am 45 years old, an Aggie, a husband and father, an author, an artist, a molecular biologist,
and son to a WWII-Korean War-Vietnam War combat-pilot veteran who still lives. Personally speaking, I was sorry to see bonfire go, and
sorry to see Ronny Reagan go, but feel extremely fortunate to have avoided any personal tragedy. I was born at the Air Force Academy,
have lived overseas and at Edwards Flight Test Center. I would like to have seen a shuttle launch, but am content to know my work on skeletal
muscle gene therapy will extend the duration of human space flight. I have come a long way to rebound from my youthful dalliances, but even back
then, I was a staunch supporter of pay-for-performance, personal responsibility, and "teaching a man to fish" rather than giving him a fish dinner.
For the record, thumbs up cobra de capell, bomelia, and 392cobra; thumbs down VRM and Excaliber.

I am fortunate...
to have so many people that are important to me in my life: my wife, Vicki, and our daughters, Spencer and Skyler; family members and many old
and new friends. I am thankful for the many cobra faithful that I have met or become acquainted with over the years: Kristen, Jay, both John Rs,
Steve and Yancey, Sam, Larry and Jackie, Miles, John and Elaine, Jim J, Gary T, Gary M, both Gary Ss, David, Chris and Stacey, Richard and Wanda,
Nathan, Dawn, Gregg, Mike, Joe, Francis, Collin, Alan and Colleen, DB, Thomas, Patrick, Jim W, Court, Bryan, Fred, Tom, Don H, Don W, Matt, Mark,
Randy, Ken, Jim R, and the man himself, Carroll. Also, Bernie, Clois, and Dean.... Cobraspit, njperone, PaulP, mrobbins, HAVASUBILL, jwd, khan smith,
Spuddyboy, Mike, Rich, Tamara, and Jason. Finally, thanks to Brent, Ron, and Jamo and all of you others on Club Cobra. You all have enriched my life.

Quality engine, drivetrain and suspension components for the jshel1 roadster were obtained from a myriad of sources.
Countless hours of research, many word of mouth recommendations, and reliance on performance and race mechanics
made selection of components from these companies a no-brainer.

Steep financial walls encountered once underway were overcome by parting with
some high-water mark items of personal sentiment and tactical value.
I remain astonished with the hedge value of some commodities and the
value of money well spent. Where there is a will, there is a way.
