Burning
Ohio. What does it mean?
What Burning Ohio means is not
important. Burning Ohio is an idea. A mindset. It is what each individual, expressive person feels at any given moment. It is the feelings
of society. A sober wakeup call to those who enjoy spending their lives veiled behind a comfortable existence, too afraid
to realize that there are other things at work in this world aside from money, personal gain and popularity.
How did they come up with
the name Burning Ohio?
Burning Ohio came from a piece of writing that Brad Napier composed in the winter
months of 2002. While working through a workbook on Beat culture, Brad employed the cut-up method (made famous by William
S. Burroughs and Bryon Gysin) to craft the poem Burning Ohio.
What
is the music like?
Good question. The music is unbelievably
tight and heavy, but not too heavy. In a day and age where an artist is often copied or a copycat, Burning Ohio are a breath
of fresh air. They have taken inspiration from the past thirty years of rock and roll, punk, metal, progressive, and doom
metal and made it into their own sound.
