are able to channel the One Power to do supernatural things.  There are two different types of channellers, the innate channellers and then those that are latent.  Innate channellers are born with the ability to channel, also known as wilders, while latent channellers can learn to channel but have to be taught.  Men and women channellers also differ.  The One Power is broken up into two parts, saidin and saidar.  Men can channel saidin while they cannot touch or see saidar and the opposite works for women channellers.
