Our dear friend, Mr. Walter McCabe, passed away April 21, 2006 of complications due to congestive heart failure. Walt was born October 31,1941 in New York. Walter lived his life dedicated to this country serving in Navy for 20 years and then retired in San Bernardino County. He was involved in the Civil War Skirmish Association and has served in the capacity of Southern California Region Commander and other distinguished positions. Walt will be missed by so many of the association for his sense of humor and knowledge of the civil war events in history.
