Capturing best practice, harnessing collective intelligence, sharing lessons learned, and harnessing the untapped value that lies among your staff and contacts. That's the best short description I've found on knowledge management. Information overload is a given today, yet important information is acquired regularly and needs to be made available to those who can use it. Knowledge Management addresses this problem. Knowledge continually needs to be freshened, too. Best practices evolve. Knowledge acquired through knowledge management needs not only to be made available to individuals.
