We've moved across the country - from Newark, OH to Redlands, CA. Andrew accepted the position of Director of the School of Music at the University of Redlands, in Redlands, CA, which is about 1 to 4 hours east of LA (depending on traffic!) Candy will be teaching Biology at the University as well, so no more commuting for her! The trip West was quite an adventure...

 

Leaving town was a lot harder than it should have been, but it could have been worse! We were lucky to have a moving company packing and schlepping everything, but it still is no picnic. Top this off with the fact that the local Pontiac driver ripped apart our Aztec's A/C unit, THEN told us it we be 2 days until the part would be available...AACK I'm getting stressed out about this in retrospect! In the end, we had A/C for the drive, but had to take it to a dealer in Logansport to finish getting it fixed.

 

We spent the weekend in Logansport with the rest of Andrew's family celebrating Dick's 80th birthday, then the big adventure began Monday morning, July 26th. The kids were great. We were able to drive almost 3000 miles in a little over 4 days!
