What to Wear
Babes and Kindergarteners-
Babes any color leotard and Kindergarteners black leotard and both need pink tights. Pink ballet shoes (no slippers)
and black tap shoes without ties!
1st thru 4th grade-
Black leotard, black jazz pants, capris (both must be tight fitting) or shorts for jazz, black skirt or shorts for
ballet, tights (any color but must have pink for recital), pink ballet shoes, and black mary jane tap shoes without
ties.
5th thru 8th grade-
black leotard, any color tights, black tight fitting jazz pants and capris or shorts for jazz, black shorts for
ballet, pink ballet slippers and/or nude foot thongs, black tap shoes in the oxford tap style with a hard toe for
toe stands.(for a good pair try the leo's concerto ultima)
High Schoolers-
leotard and tights (any color), jazz pants, black shorts for ballet and jazz, nude foot thongs for ballet and jazz, black
jazz sneakers for hip hop, oxford tap style taps (go for quality, cheap tap shoes usually don't have good sound quality
--try leo's concerto ultima)
Boys- white
t-shirt and black shorts, black ballet shoes and taps shoes and gym shoes for hip hop
Hip Hop- Loose clothing with long pants preferred. Shoes should be regular
gym shoes that are not worn outside. Most students wear Kangaroos because of the limited traction that is ideal
for dancing.
Everyone needs
to have their hair pulled back away from your face, including long bangs! If you come to class without proper
attire, you may be asked to sit out the lesson. Sweatshirts are not allowed after stretches! Shoes can be found
online on the discount dance website (there is a link below), the Shoe Box, Walmart, and at Creative Motion Dance Reedsburg
off Main Street. Fan Faire Costume & Dance in Baraboo carries a large selection of what
you need.
