Welcome to a new season of dance competition!  In addition to Company, we are introducing Pre-Company for dancers that are not quite ready for company but want to see what they are all about. We want to provide you with enough information to decide whether  Company is right for you and your dancer. 

As most of you know, Spring Into Motion has boasted some amazing competition teams that have won some of the highest awards possible at local and regional competitions. 

What is Pre-Company?

Pre-Company is simply an extra class your dancer can take to experience the company atmosphere.  There are no auditions required for Pre-Company; it is open to everyone in 3^rd grade and above.  We do encourage all pre-company members to also take ballet, tap and jazz, to make them a well rounded dancer. 

This additional class time will be to learn one dance that will be performed in the recital and will compete in a competition that will take place in March or April of 2010. The Pre-Company will be instructed by Ms. April.

Pre-Company Class will be held in Spring Green on Tuesdays from 4:00pm- 4:45pm.

Is Pre-Company Right for Me?

Pre-Company is a big commitment and should be taken seriously by the dancers.  This will be faster paced and more difficult than regular classes.  Pre-Company dancers should have a lot of spunk, catch on quickly to new concepts and be able to take constructive criticism.  They must be willing to follow direction, focus and pay attention to the instructor.  There will be more expectations than in a regular class.

Pre-Company dancers will be held to strict rules and expectations in order to build a more team oriented experience.  All Pre-Company members will be required to sign an agreement to follow all rules and expectations.  If you break your contract, your position as a member of the Pre-Company will be terminated.  The company director can terminate the acceptance if there is failure to abide by the rules. Pre-Company dancers will be required to audition for Company – they will not be automatically placed within a Company after completing Pre-Company.

Pre-Company Costs:

Pre-Company will be $40.00 per Month. This is in addition to regular class fees. No discounts will be given for this class. 

In addition to your monthly fees, you will have a costume fee and a competition fee for the Competition.  The competition fee will be approximately $35.00 (this will vary depending on what the competition company charges per dance).  We attempt to cover the costume fee with the registration fees collected, however, if this costume requires any additional pieces there could be a slight adjustment once the costumes are selected.

How Do I Join?

Since there are no auditions required, you simply sign up for Pre-Company when you register for your other classes.
