First Raid!

Where do I start? Wednesday night I did some grinding in Burning Stepps working
on quests after I did my turn ins from the BRD quests I had. Soloing the Dragonkin is not an easy task. They are
lower level than me (but still Elite) I can get them down but can only take one on at a time and I have to rest afterwards.
Getting nearly 1000 rested XP from them is nice however. I have quite a few more of them to take down to finish the
Dragonkin Menance quest. Should make my progression that much faster. When I realized that it was going to take
me a while to finish the dragonkin I moved over to hit the Firegut Ogres. After the dragonkin these guys are easy!
I was laying waste to them and I leveled to 58!!! I ran out of their cave to go train in IF (not much spell wise but
not bad). I then went to Winterspring to finish the runners quest there. I did with no issues. then back to Everlook
and with my 260 engineering I was able to get the recipe for the Everlook portal!!! (I need to do some serious schematic research
to fill in my recipe book). I camped for the night in Everlook.
Last night started with a BANG! As soon as I logged in Jovis hit me with a raid invite to hit Scholomance. I accepted
it without asking. MY FIRST WOW RAID!!! We had a good group and hit most of the named targets there. I got
a new 2h Mace (it looks sweet, it looks like a spine with a skull. and it hits like a ton. My first weapon with over
50 DPS listed). Among the people in the raid were Jovis, Tealy, Dondor (yep a scholo raid with three Pallies) Miji,
Dalak, Stab, and a few other guildies (I am so bad with names) we had 10 people on the raid, 3 pallies, 3 warriors,
a druid, priest, rogue and hunter. I was so lost to begin with. I am glad that it was all guildies so my learning
would be tolerated. It was a lot of fun and I hope to do many more in the coming months.
When we were done I went back to WPL to work on quests there. I finished the bone fragments quests (sent me to
Gadget to get a mold so I can get my Scholo key), the annals of Darrowshire, and the watch quest. After doing the turn-ins
and going to Gadget it was getting late so I camped there. When I get on (tonight?) I'll hit Un-Goro to get the quest
stuff I need from there and return to WPL. I did abandon the ST quests. There is no reason for me to go there
now and it opened up my quest log quite a bit. I am bout 30% in the level and will be working to get as close to 59
as I can this extended weekend.
...and what a run it was

What fun last night! I got on and started dinking around, making my way
to Winterspring when Tealy and Jovis got on looking for something to do. I suggested a BRD run :) Surprisingly
they said yes! We added Joe and Meegee (60 Pally and Rogue) and we were off (two 60 Pallies, a 57 pallie, 60 Rogue and
60 Druid). We had a blast! We completed the quests that I had and kept on. We cleared our way all the way
down (we even got my attunement to the core (Molten Core) complete and took on the Emperor of Shadowforge. I got MANY
weapon upgrades along the way. I got a new 1h mace that has +30 to healing (and is a better DPS weapon than all my other
1h weapons) a new 2h sword, a new 2h mace, and a new polearm (looks REALLY cool and is a great AOE weapon) and I got a 16
slot bag. I also got my Shadowforge key. It really was a fun run. Jovis got some lightforge gauntlets (he
gave me a lightforge belt). I am about 85% to 58 and I still have a couple turn-ins to do (I left some of the quest
items in my bank so I had to go get them and by the time I got them it was really too late to go back). I will be making at
couple more runs there, I need to get to 300 Engineering first because there is a schematic for field repair bot that I cannot
pick up unless I have 300 engineering. Looks like I need to make all the stuff I can to get there. I have some
bombs that I can make to get me closer to 300, I am at 256 right now. I hope that it doesn't cost TOO much to get me
to 300. I do know that I need to make a few XL jumper cables to pass sell and pass out in guild.
They (Jovis and Tealy) are talking about doing a Beast run tonight which should be even more fun.
I think I am going to just abandon the ST quests. They are green, I do see people going there, and there are better
things to do in the upper instances. I'll talk to Dej to see if he has completed any of his, if he has, or if he has
deleted them I will do the same.
Finally, an update

I have been one sick puppy lately. Until last night I had not been in-game
since last Tuesday. Last night was beneficial. I did finish the Boomerang quests (I have my boomerang!)
I logged in and ran to the spot to spawn Aquamentinas in Tanaris. I spawned him and took him down, he was easy.
I then rode to Un'Goro to visit JD Collie. She had me visit Linken and he wanted me to go take down Blazerunner.
There was a hunter in the zone that wanted to take down Blaze as well so I hooked up with him. Dalak also came and we
left Blazerunner a pile of ash. I used the Pally Parachute to get off the mountain (Divine Protection and jump) then
rode back to Linken to do the turn in. I got the boomerang (which makes trinket number 12!!!).
After the turn-in I stoned back to IF as I was going to help Stab in BRD. We never could get a group going so I went
to WPL to continue working on the quests there. I found Joseph's ring and rec'd the next quest (I need to kill Arj the Summoner
in Andorothal). I also rec'd another quest, A matter of Time, where I had to go to the grain silos in Andorothal click
on the horn a summon the parasites out (had to kill 15). Well at each silo you could only use the horn once but when
you did two to three level 55-57 parasites spawned and as you killed them more spawned. I fought as many as six without
a break (and without getting killed) They cast slow every few seconds so it was a pain. I am glad that I had a
good supply of bombs to make the task a little easier.
I guess one good thing about not playing so much recently is I have at least a full level of rest bonus (with quests I
could be in the rest bonus until I reach 60!)

This is just my place to post my happenings in my on line gaming.
Currently I am playing World of Warcraft. I am on the Gomeregan server. I am once again playing my Human Paladin.
He has been moved from Elune and renamed Gabbath. He is once again main character. I also have Ghaan my Night
Elf Hunter, a Blood Elf Priest Volto and a Dwarf Warrior Guuinnes who has been retired. Also on Gnomer, I have
Gumule (Bank mule), Laarz (Draeni Shaman) and Phantsi (horde Bank mule). Each of those I just created to hold the name.
On the Elune server I have Ghaani, a Night Elf Hunter, who is begging to be played. I also have Kiita a night elf druid I made for my daughter and Gruumpi,
a Troll rogue I made for my son. I also have Zozan, a Human Mage who is basically a mule. |
