Monday night's runn through DM was a BLAST! Dej, Stab, Thac, Laurel and
I went through DM West for the first time. That place is harder than East, but worth the challenge. We hit all
the static bosses completed the pylon quest, took out Immol'thar (big nasty beasty) and the prince. All of us, cept
Dej, got some really nice stuff. I got upgrades to my one hand and two hand mace. Laurel got a nice ring with +Healing,
Thac got a cool staff, and we all got some stuff to sell. We became a very good team after our initial trouble with
the ghosts. We will be going back there, and soon.
Tuesday I didn't log in log, just to do the Elven Legends turn in. Then I camped for the night
Last night, I logged in late, but was able to put together a quick guild group to hit ST. Dej, Laurel, Boris, Krond
and I made extremly quick work of the place. I was the "main tank" but Dej did most of the work. I tried to keep
the mobs from hitting the rest of the party and let Dej take them out. He is putting out so much DPS that it was very
hard for me to keep aggro. We took out all six trolls and Dej had to call it a night. So we broke up and I went
to WPL to do the turn in. I now have a nice +15 healing ring to add to my healing gear (+36 from my mace, +31 from gloves,
+11 from Lightforge set bonus, and now +15 from my ring = +93not bad, but needs to get better!)
If I log in tonight, it will be the last time for a few days. I am going back up to Arkansas over the weekend and
won't have access.
:::24 October 2005:::
I had a good weekend.
Friday night did a guild Scholo run and had a lot of fun. I didn't get any gear upgrades, I did get a pristine
Black Diamond that is needed for my Charger quest (and one of the hardest parts to get) still, it is always fun to raid with
guildies.
Saturday started with me finishing the "clensing of Terrordale" where I had to vanquish the spirits from the land.
I had to take out 25 of them. I had done 6 before, so I had some work to do. I'd go to the "green glow" in Terrordale
(in Eastern Plaguelands) click on the "charm" that would "summon" the spirits. Between one and four ghosts would appear.
They ranged in level from 58 to 60. I am glad they were undead or I would have had some serious problems. When
more than one appeared I'd fear one, and start working on the others. Only one time I feared a ghost into another mob,
and he brought a friend. I employed the French Defense (Flee!) Then recovered and finished the quest. It
took me less than an hour to complete it.
After that I did a few quest turn-ins and found out I needed to go back to Sunken Temple for a quest (I need to get a
few voodoo feathers) We were setting up for that run with a pickup group (Pally, me level 60), War, pally (54) mage,
rogue. I was going to be the healer, but before we got in we realized that a Ret specced pally wouldn't do a good enough
job as a healer. So we broke up and I got in another Baron run. We kicked butt. I got some stuff and ended
up with the Legplates of Valor. Yes I know they are Warrior set pants, but the war that was there already had them,
I did not roll for an up the entire run, and they were better than what I had. So I got them. I was able to get
Blinky in the run and it was nice to get a guildie in their first Baron run.
Last night I logged in a bit late and got into yet another Baron run. Tauny, Wraine and Thac came to run it with
me. Again we kicked butt. Tauny, her first Baron run, got a few upgrades and I finally saw (and won) the Pally
Lightforged Legplates (being the only pally sometimes is nice). Since we had two healers, and two warriors I got to
have fun. I was using Holy Wrath qute a lot, and for a while was the number one/two damage dealer. It is fun to
be beating on the mobs, have a few of them around, whap them with a big aoe nuke, and then watch a lot of them fall.
I think I am done with Baron, and now need to focus on UBRS, Scholo, and ST (for the one quest) for my gear upgrades.
With the Lightforged Legplates, I now have three of the set peices (bracers and belt) I now have a +44 to healing spells.
When I wear my other "healing gear" I have a +111 to healing spells. It isn't a lot, but it does make my healing more
effective. It also kicked my mana pool up quite a bit. With my "normal" gear on and with an AI I have over 3500
mana. That is a nice upgrade as well.
Tonight should be another DM run or maybe a ST run, depending on what Dej wants to do. Either one would be fine
with me and should be fun.
