:::21 August 2006:::
Well, I have celebrated my 2-year Anniversary this past week. In a way
it seems like I have been here forever, in other ways it feels like I just started here.
Little G is now 31. I am almost DONE with Darkshire. I just have the big three quests to complete (Mor'ladim,
Morbent Fel, and Salvatan) With a little help I can do them right away, or in a level or two I might be able to solo
them. I think I will get some help and finish them outright. I have made a couple runs through Razorfiend Kraul
(RFK) one to complete the Fire Hardened Mail quest and one last night with guildies. I completed the newbie warrior
armor quests. That was a good quest line. It took me to several places and I obtained many of the primary flight
paths I will need later on. I finished the VC letter quest and got my ring. I completed the Beserker Stance quest.
That was easier than I thought. I just pulled out my big two-hand sword and beat on the mobs and they fell quickly.
I thought it was going to be more difficult. I think I just used one health pot. I have just begun the Whirlwind
Weapon quest. I need to get a couple levels before I can complete it solo, maybe I can get some guild help and finish
it quickly as well. That quest did bring me to Arathi Highlands. I made my run over to the Keep and picked up
the books needed to level my First Aid Skill. I bought three extra sets while I was there (two for guildies and one
to sell). I had enough silk cloth in my bank to quickly finish the silk bandage and move to the heavy silk bandage.
I need maybe 20 ranks of FA until I move into Mageweave Bandages.
Back to RFK. The first run was crazy. I was there in a PUG, a druid was healing and the rest of the group
were DPS types. (Group was Mage, Mage, Warlock, Druid, and me) I was the lowest level one there. That did not help my
tanking. I finally had them to let me hit the mobs first to let me gain initial aggro and they could CC from there.
The run was good as we didn't have any deaths and I got a couple upgrades (I got the shield from the final boss. I think
it is the best shield until I get into Scarlet Monastery). I did learn a few things to do and not to do while tanking.
The second run, last night with guildies, was a lot better. The group makeup was Hunter, Warlock, Druid, Mage, and me.
Again I was the lone tank and Melee DPS. I wasn't the lowest one this time, the druid was. I will admit that we
got into a groove a lot faster than the PUG and finished RFK in less than one hour. We had no deaths and I don't think
anyone left upset. I got a nice dagger upgrade and some tanking shoulders. I forgot that this is a newbie server
and that loot rules need to be talked about in detail before starting. We had one instance where the Corpsemaker Axe
dropped and it was a NICE upgrade for me. One person rolled greed and messed up the whole thing. I'm not upset
since the person that got it can just sell it to a vendor and I am working on a few other upgrades. Also, I didn't go
there for that axe. I went there to do a crawl with guildies. Now I did review the loot table from RFK and there
are a few items there (including the axe) that I'd like to get from there. If it didn't take so dag-burn long to get
there it might be a better place to fight.
My plan for this week:
Complete the Darkshire quests
Do some Gnomer/RFK runs
Work on WW Weapon quests
Move
into STV and progress with those quests
Be level 35 by the end of the week.
MNC might be interesting tonight. Big G might be the tank. We are fighting falling apart since Stab has quit
WOW. It sucks that one person can make the whole thing fall apart. I guess that is what happens when that one
person is the Tank. I bet it would be the same if Laurel or Dej quit too.
