A good night, and a visit to the Big Ugly for Little G
:::19 October 2006:::
It has been a decent week so far.  I am about to level to 51 but the better news is that I have made a couple Mauradon runs which includes taking down the Big Ugly.  We did that last night, many thanks to Feyda, 60 priest, for coming along because I don't think it would have been nearly as easy if he was not there.  We took the quick route to the Big Ugly.  It took me a little time to figure out exactly how I would be the best tank.  Once we got going down the big ramp I was doing fine holding both of the behemoths.  The Princess fight was a lot of running around and running back.  I hate mobs that fear, but you do what you can.  I think we did lose the Druid during the fight but we did a good job.  She dropped the plate pants AND the +sta +hit ring.  I was able to get BOTH of them (very large upgrades for me).  After that we took out Rotgrip (the big crock) and the mage won the roll on the cloth shoulders.  We were going to fight our way out but Tott (guild warlock) who was with us had to log, so we ended up hearthing out (glad I was set to gadgetstan).  I flew back to Nigel's point and did the turn in for the Big Ugly quest and got the 1h sword with a chance for and extra attack and a DPS upgrade!  That moved the sword I was using in my main hand to off hand and I sold the old axe.  (I kept the mace because I still need some work on that skill).  We regrouped, added a Pally and another druid and went to the purple side.  I like my new weapon setup, I noticed an increase in DPS immediately.  we fought our way to Vyletounge.  The mage had to leave about mid way so we continued without him.  We had no trouble moving down to Vyletounge.  We knocked out the 4th Kahn along the way (I now just need the 2nd to finish that quest and he is outside!).  We engaged VT and took him down with no loss.  I looted the top of the scepter for the rod and now just need to go the the quest NPC to finish that quest.

I still have SEVERAL un'goro quests that I need to complete.  Once I get 51 my survivability will be much better.

When I hit 52, HELLO BRD and LBRS!!!!!

Catching up
:::16 October 2006:::
Ouch, over a month since my last update.  Little G is now 50 (hit it last night).  It is very frustrating on Gnomer, the server is always full yet I can never fill a PUG.  I guess I am right between the masses and the 60's  I need to push harder to get to 60 so I can raid with the guild but soloing as a warrior gets difficult in the 50's.  It is discouraging because I am 50 and I not yet been to Mauradon, I never got into RFD (I am too high a level for that zone to really benefit me) I was lucky to get in a couple good Uldaman groups to finish the quests from there (but I only got two equipment upgrades from there).  I have run Zul'Ferak a few times getting all those quests completed but still with few upgrades.

I really need to upgrade my weapons because last night's ZF run I was having problems keeping aggro vs a Pally! (even though the pally was equipped rather nicely, I still should not have been having those problems!)  My main hand sword is the quest reward from completing SM (that should help explain my weapons issues) my off-hand is an axe from RFK or a mace from the hinterlands (I have been trying to get my 1h mace skills up so the mace will be effective) and they are both GREEN!  I have a 2h mace from Ulda, but I am built to dual wield, so I do more damage with 1-handers.

I am questing in Un'goro now.  I will be there and start in WPL now.  My quest log is full of UGC quests so finishing them will help with the XP bit.

Trade skill wise, I did drop mining/skinning and picked up Herbalism/Alchemy.  It has been a little bit expensive but I have 265 in Alch and around 250 in herbs.  I use most all of my potions and I try not to buy herbs from the AH, unless I want to push forward to a certain skill level or to replenish my stock of a specific potion.

On the Elune front, I am just playing there on Monday Night.  Our MNC is stagnant.  Big G has become the defacto "tank" for the group but that is because we are doing lower end things.  We have not been back to ZG and last Monday we did a Scholo run.  Since Dej has completed his tier 2 set and has Thunderfury that anything that is not a big raid is trivial.  My tanking is really a joke because I just hit the target once and Dej slaughters it.  I swing my puny mace once Dej hits it six times.  There is no way I can call myself a tank when that is going on.  I have not been on a big raid since mid-July and I don't see any prospects for improvement on Elune any time soon.

I did break-down and purchase an epic mount for Ghaani.  It runs fast and cost over 800 gp but I wasn't doing anything with that money.
I have been thinking about server transfers.  One part of me wants to transfer either Big G or Ghaani to Gnomer and resume playing them (the Pally seems to be more needed...) I would be able to start raiding instantly and would be the best geared Pally in the guild. (The same would go for Ghaani).  I have thought about transferring Little G to Elune so the MNC could have a tank but I would be in the same spot about raiding so I stop thinking about that.

It would be nice to have a 60 on Gnomer.  I would not have to spend all my time trying to level.  I could dabble more in PVP and work on my tradeskills.  Oh well, it is nice to dream.

This is just my place to post my happenings in my on line gaming.
Currently I am playing World of Warcraft.  I am on the Gomeregan server. I am once again playing my Human Paladin. He has been moved from Elune and renamed Gabbath. He is once again main character. I also have Ghaan my Night Elf Hunter, a Blood Elf Priest Volto and a Dwarf Warrior Guuinnes who has been retired. Also on Gnomer, I have Gumule (Bank mule), Laarz (Draeni Shaman) and Phantsi (horde Bank mule). Each of those I just created to hold the name. On the Elune server I have Ghaani, a Night Elf Hunter, who is begging to be played. I also have Kiita a night elf druid I made for my daughter and Gruumpi, a Troll rogue I made for my son. I also have Zozan, a Human Mage who is basically a mule.
Ghaani was my first character in WoW. Ghaani was my Ranger in EQ before I played WoW, but you can read all about that in the blog. Ghaani and Gabbath started on Elune, Gabbath was named Guuinnes on Elune and had his name changed when I moved him to Gnomeregan.
My alliance characters are members of the guild Fatal Nemesis
