Recovery does not mean giving up who you are -                                                       It means letting go of who you are not.
(Claudia Black)

In times of difficulty, you may feel that your problems will go on and on, but they won't. Every mountain has a top, every problem has a life span. The question is, who is going to give in first, the frustration or you? (Dr. Robert Schuller)

It's easier to build a child than repair an adult.

Maybe . . the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

There are no problems. I don't believe in problems anymore. What we call problems are nothing more than decisions. Decisions that we didn't make and if that's the case, then decisions that we have to make now. And, that's the basis for tremendous optimism, because if problems aren't problems, but they're just decisions that have to be made, wow! That means I can be optimistic because I can make a decision until I'm dead! I can choose my reaction.           (Dr. Robert Schuller)

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside all people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have....

1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less

IF A DOG WERE YOUR TEACHER

You would learn stuff like.....

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.

When it's in your best interest -- practice obedience.

Let others know when they've invaded your territory.

Take naps and stretch before rising.

Run, romp, and play daily.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do.

On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.

When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing

and pout... run right back and make friends.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.

Be loyal.

Never pretend to be something you're not.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

It’s time.

The sun may wake you,

but the day kicks you out of bed,

then in the butt,

right onto the tracks

of that moving train called life.

Question is, though,

are you going to drive,

or just go along for the ride?

It’s your day,

every day,

wake up and smell it.
