"The Battle"
from "H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds":
This music covers the
Artilleryman's flashback to the big battle between the British Army and the
Martians. The Martians are wining this battle handily, and this track comes
in right as the Martian's blasts destroy the entire town the army is
attempting to defend. The music shifts into a march-like tempo as the
Martian War machines advance across the countryside, blasting troop
emplacements everywhere. The end of the track covers the Artilleryman's
successful attempting at extracting himself from under a pile of dead bodies
and equipment to escape.

"Reunion" from "H.G. Wells' The
War of the Worlds":
This is music from the
very end of The War of the Worlds. It covers the emotional reunion between
the Writer (main character) and his wife, both of whom though the other was
dead. The scene segues into a voice-over talking about how life returns to
the land as the people who survived the invasion return and begin to rebuild
their lives. The movie ends on a very hopeful note.

"Big
Man On The Move":
This is a music-library piece that I originally wrote for a movie about
the mob. It was intended for a scene that follows a limo on it's
approach to the state pen followed by a transition inside the prison to a
somber meeting with the imprisoned mob boss.

Theme from
the movie "Rocketman":
Rocketman is a comedy
adventure about a rotund superhero of the 1930's who flies around with a
rocket pack (ala the Rocketeer, except far sillier.) While most of the
audience is in on the joke, in the sense of the film Rocket Man is seen as a
hero and therefore required a heroic anthem. This track consists of the
movie's opening fanfare as well as the end credits. This piece was recorded
with a live orchestra.

"Opening Credits"
from "The Killers"
This is the main title music for a remake of Ernest Hemingway's "The
Killers". This version of the film is in the noir genre, but set
in Japan.
Note, I do not yet have the artwork from this film, so the image on the
left is from the original movie, not the remake that this music is from. |

"The Martians Come
Out!" from "H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds":
This track covers the
scene at the pit when the Martians first exit the cylinder. The people
surrounding the pit are understandably afraid of these strange creatures.
This track uses several modern string techniques to create a creepy and
ominous mood.

"Let the Battle Begin" from the movie "Carfight":
CarFight is a parody on Gladiator, except instead of human vs human in the arena, it is human vs. Oldsmobile. The opening cue follows the entrance of the "evil" car and the rogue hero human into the arena. "Let the Battle Begin" starts with a horn call signaling the start of the fight and covers an action-heavy sequence of the film consisting of the hero attacking the car with swords, throwing-stars, a grappling hook and other weapons (yes it is as crazy as it sounds). This piece was recorded with a live orchestra.

Prologue"
from "H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds":
This is music from the
opening of The War of the Worlds. Occurring immediately after the opening
credits, the Prologue consists of a montage of images from
turn-of-the-century England accompanied by a voice over reading the opening
lines of H.G. Wells' text. As the camera pans up into the night sky and
zooms in on Mars, the tone of the narrative and the music changes,
indicating the impending invasion by Martians.
