Preparations are currently underway for one of the biggest parties of the year!  On Sunday, February 4, 2007 everyone will be gathering around their 31 inch High Definition Flat screen TV's and sampling some of junk food's finest for more than just a football game.  Superbowl Sunday is an "American Tradition." 

 

Over the years, some games have been nail biters and yet other years some games have been complete blowouts in which case everyone ends up outside watching the BBQ grill for entertainment.  The one thing that never changes during Superbowl Sunday is the long anticipated Half Time Show performances.  They just seem to get bigger and better each year.  In fact, it is said that a 30 second commercial spot during the half time show can cost up to one million dollars.  

 

This year, history will be made as the half time show performer will be none other than -PRINCE-himself!    

 

 

The secret will soon be out when everyone will get to discover just how great of a performer and artist Prince really is!

Where shall I go this year?  I am so torn between somewhere new (South America, Scotland) or somewhere familiar and dear to my heart (Italy!) Or maybe somewhere familiar but need more time of (Amsterdam)?

 

Two days ago I got my Chow Venice Books, which I ordered a few weeks ago.  Two are gifts to good friends and the third one I'm keeping for myself.  Chow was written as a guide for the traveler to experience some of the best dining experiences that Venice has to offer.  The authors are both members of my favorite SlowTravel site and are people that know Venice really well!  I would totally trust their opinions.

 

Maybe this is a sign!  Maybe I need to do Venice and the Dolomites!  If my friends aren't ready to do either Machu Picchu or Patagonia this year, then I could be off to either Italy or Scotland.

 

I'm excited and yet frustrated as I can't seem to make up my mind.  My gut tells me Italy and so does my heart for that matter.  If only I could do two trips!!  Hmmmmm . . . . .

 

 

 

I finally finished my trip report for the Slow Travel site.  I'm not sure whether it will be published, but it is done and now I can start planning my next trip. 

 

I will update my website to include my "Back to Europe Solo" trip report and some of my favorite pictures. 

 

So where shall I go next?  Scotland, Amsterdam, South America, Italy, Italy, Italy?  Can you tell where I am leaning towards?
