Welcome to my Trekcapri Website
"Traveling lets me
see the world through my eyes!"
Thank you for stopping by!
Kathy
My On-line name is Trekcapri but my real name
is Kathy and I created this website as a way to journal my travel experiences (including photos/videos) and other hobbies.
Visit my Trekcapri Blog which I originally started so I can blog while traveling.
Since then, I have expanded it's use to also include serving as a creative outlet to write about my hobbies, interests
and other random thoughts (and trust me there can be a lot of them stirring up in my mind)!

Note:
Below, you will also find an archive of my past blogging prior to March 1, 2008. Since I no longer blog
here, I moved my FAVORITE BLOGS to my Trekcapri Blog site.

Remembrance, Sun and Music . . .

Some of us just simply enjoyed the beautiful day . . .

. . . with great music at the
Hermosa Beach Jazz Festival.

But let’s also not forget that today
should be a day to remember the many soldiers who served our country and gave their life doing so.
Happy Memorial Day Everyone!

Soul Patrol . . .meets . . . PRINCE!
Well, last night I returned home about
20 minutes to 10:00 from my photography class. I debated whether to turn
on the tube to watch the ending of American Idol, because I had already missed 98% of the show. But I really wanted to know who won. Afterall, I voted feverously for my choice the night before.
In the end, I decided to just
watch the darn ending. As I sat down Ryan Secrest turns over the spot light
to these dancers and a silhouette appears and then the spotlight turns on PRINCE!
Decked in purple he performed two songs
and dazzled us with a few of his old school moves! What a huge surprise. My friend who went with me to 3 of his concerts (LosAngeles, Las Vegas and San Diego) called me and we were gabbing about how cool it was to see him perform again.
And to top it all off my favorite, Soul
Patrol – Taylor Hicks won!
Life is so GOOD right now!

Happy Mother's Day . . .
Every year it's a real struggle
to get through Mother's Day! Honestly, I have never made it through the day without shedding a tear or two.
I lost mom many years ago, but it always seems like yesterday. Everything around me reminds me of her. The TV commercials selling Mother’s Day gifts, running past homes with mom’s and daughters
hugging and wishing each other well. On a day like today I try to stay away from
such reminders . . .
But then I realize . . . it’s okay to remember
her. She was special and today I truly give her thanks. I just know that she is always with me in spirit . . . giving me guidance and pulling me up whenever I
feel down . . .
So, Mom . . Happy Mother’s Day!
All my Love,
Kathy
