Venice is the kind of place that you could spend several months in and
you would still end up with many unexplored territory! Unlike my previous trip where I ventured off to visit three
countries and 5 cities/towns, all within two weeks, I decided to slow it down a notch and base myself for two entire
weeks in one spot and then use the Slow Travel's Concentric Circles method of then visiting nearby towns to explore
additional cities/towns. I have to tell you that I really enjoyed this travel style a lot. It was more relaxing
and I was able to savor the time I had in each location which did give me a much deeper experirence of life in these
cities.
After many hours of reading and learning about the nearby towns, I decided
that in addition to visiting the islands of Burano and Torcello I decided to also make daytrips to visit the wonderful
towns of Treviso, Ravenna (overnight) and Treviso! And I also decided to take a group tour to visit the town of
Cortina to see the famous jagged edge Dolomites!
