This is the page where videos will be posted that has something to do
with the Air Force and "The Midnight Chase." The two part footage of the BMT video links below are through the eyes of the
TI (Training Instructor). This is very interesting to watch as the characters of Dave and Tom in "The Midnight Chase" will
be facing their TIs in the novel...
(Fun starts at the 4:45 mark of the BMT 1 video)
(The recruit named Tommy in part 3 is in no relation to the character of Tom in the
novel.)
USAF Thunderbirds video. Excellent 13 minute footage!

The Snake Pit!
SR-71 Blackbird
Here's a short clip of what happens in the Snake Pit! I wish there was
one that was longer than this. Read what happens to the poor chap when he passed by the Snake Pit in the novel. Click on the
Snake Pit link above.
About the SR-71, our (Cobra) flight was just relieved from post and we
were inside a blue USAF school bus heading back to the armory and headed for the Northramp to pick up some
more of our flight members when we saw this magnificent bird before it took off. This bird was considered a
Priority A resource while at Clark. Sgt. Prado was driving the school bus that day. What a prankster he was...!
Clark today with a view of the South end of the runway. Click here.
The Clark video above was taken while I was on my
to the Main Gate at Clark. Portions of the South end of the runway and the two aircraft alert hangars can be seen at
the beginning of the video. There is a road construction which will lead from Clark to Subic directly which should reduce
travel time by approximately 30-45 minutes. Note: Some of the videos I took at Clark may require you to have the
DIV X player on your computer if for some reason you cannot view the video.
ShoeMart Department Store
Some of the bars surrounding Clark Air Base have disappeared and made room
for this nice department store, which included a McDonald's, ACE Hardware Store and a Sbarro's Pizza. This also had a Federal
Express office where there was an internet cafe. Thank goodness...but alas, my last day there; there were no connections...too
bad, so sad. :-(
