Rainy Day People is not just another romance story. It's an inspiring story for anyone who is no stranger to
tragedy and loss of life as they've known it! It's a relationship story, a living each precious day you're given story. Widowed
at a relatively young age, Amber has spent two years climbing out of her despair enough to find a remnant of peace in the
natural world around her. She meets Ben quite by chance (or was it?) as they came from two very different worlds. Ben is still
riding his own life's storms. Will Amber convince him that trust, loving, and living life isn't over until the last breath
is drawn? Will she discover it herself?
Susan Haley, widowed early, turned a passion for the written word into a purpose. A mentoring with Award-winning writer

in Sarasota
on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Mr. Delany passed on shortly after the completion of the work.
Susan leads the Sarasota chapter of Florida Writers Association. She is actively associated with Nothing

Reviews:
Susan writes the beauty of nature, relationships, and true meaning of friendship. It brought a tear to my eye and many
chuckles." Bree Hill, The Pepper Tree Literary Magazine
"From the first
few pages, the reader will realize this is not your average relationship story. It's a lot better than that." Paul Plappen,
The Midwest Book Review
"Haley has a great gift for knowing how people think . . . Her emotions and honesty
run deep." James Abraham, Venice Gondolier Sun
"Haley draws on life and people for inspiration . . ."
Francine Milford, Venice Herald Tribune
“The characters found their way into
a corner of my mind that teased reality. It’s almost as if I knew them from a time before and was
able to observe their inner challenges. It is obvious to me these characters have lived in another realm where only the Author
has sensed the desires of their hearts. To be able to convey the feelings and experiences of others so tactfully generates
a desire to come to know the characters whether they are real or fictional. From the beginning to the end, tenderness and
excitement has been sewn together with the thread of passion.”

"Let me say that the quality of your writing is impressive; you've done a remarkable job of combining the skills
of two authors into one cohesive voice." Michael Garrett, Editor
When viewing a Chuck
Close canvas, one needs to step back a bit to appreciate it full essence. Such is the case with the power of this wonderful
novel. A riveting story is only part of what makes Rainy Day People such a success. The artistry involved in crafting this
work enticed me to move from audio to hard copy, then back to audio once again. Through these dual modalities of sight and
sound, I was flooded with the very emotions this author's words were meant to evoke. All sensibilities were heightened: sight,
sound, touch . . . but foremost, the all-to-human feelings surrounding the experiences of love and vulnerability. Susan Haley
is one talented writer. Keep an eye on her. I know I will.

RDP is a wonderful read-not a story with "fantastical" characters who accomplish miraculous feats and
spend hours engaging in graphic sex, but a love story as real as the people next door. It's the story of a woman whose heart
was shattered by the premature death of her beloved husband, but instead of sinking into a morass of self-pity and isolation,
she embraces the world around her and comes to grips with "what is." Abby is a unique character, a female Dr. Doolittle -a
woman who has an uncanny rapport with all nature, from her "birdfriends," to bears and even snakes.
Her chance meeting
with a stranger in a bookstore turns out to be the hand of destiny. Surely, Abby was destined to connect with Ben, to be his
Galahad. A broken-spirited man, who is unwilling to share his secret, Abby is governed by instinct and gut feelings, refusing
to give up on life or people, no matter how crotchety or doubting. Abby, truly a woman of rainbows, dares to be different
and the reader cannot help but fall in love with this fearless sprite who is devoted to the nurture of man and creatures alike.
I laughed, I wept, and I came away fulfilled. D. H. Clair - The House on Slocum
