signatures!
Thanks to you, President Bush will know that the American people are watching this holiday season -- and
demanding a decision that protects our country's polar bears!

Thanks to you, our Polar Bear SOS Holiday
Card has gathered 150,746 signatures -- far surpassing our goal of 100,000 signers!
Now the card is on its way to
the White House.
The timing couldn't be better -- since a decision about the fate of the polar bear may well come
during Christmas week or very soon after.
As you know, the Bush Administration often saves its worst environmental
decisions for the busy holiday season -- hoping the American people are not paying attention.
But our Holiday SOS
Card will put the White House on notice that America expects a decision in favor of polar bear protection.
While we
hope that this outpouring of public concern will sway the Administration's decision in favor of polar bear protection, we
can't count on it.
That's why NRDC will be working through the holidays -- so we will be ready to spring into action
on behalf of the polar bear as soon as the Administration makes its fateful decision.

We'll be counting on your
support and activism at every step of the way. With scientists predicting that all of Alaska's polar bears could be extinct
in less than 50 years -- along with two-thirds of the world's entire polar bear population -- we all must do whatever we can
to save these magnificent Arctic creatures.
