BRUTALLY FRANK: MILITANT ISLAM IN AMERICA

 By Marshall Frank

This book reads more like a horror story than non-fiction, but it is an easy read. Mr. Frank offers a sometimes passionate presentation of how radical Islam has infiltrated our society. He paints a bleak picture of America (and the rest of the world) should militant Islam succeed in their goal as stated by Dr. Anis Shorrosh, author and mid-east expert: “The Islamic invasion of America is an agenda of Islamists with visible methods to take over America by the year 2020! Will Americans continue to sleep through this invasion as they did when wer were attacked on 9/11?”

If only half of what he offers is true, his book should be enough to shake even the most complacent American into awareness. He believes that the phrase, “the war on terror” has blinded Americans to the harsh reality that we are not fighting a short-term battle, but that we are fighting a long-term war for the survival of our culture, our country, and our lives.

He states at the outset that his book is strictly his opinion based on his readings of Islam. Though he says that “Brutally Frank” is not intended to be a “Bush bashing” book, he offers only criticism, calling President Bush a self-serving traitor.

Between bashings, Frank emphasizes the mission of the Wahhabists, the most radical and virulent sect in Islam. Wahhabbism is supported by the mind-boggling wealth of Saudi Arabia. The Wahhabi’s, with Saudi funding, are building religious schools and mosques across the US. Simultaneously, militant Muslims are recruiting convicted criminals to their cause.

He cites numerous examples of reasons for Americans to fear for their religion, for their future, for the future of their children, grandchildren, and the U.S. Constitution being supplanted by Sharia Law.

Among these are:

1)         That there is no such person as a moderate Muslim because all adhere to the Quran that demands allegiance to Allah over allegiance to family, friends, or country. The Quran clearly states that the goal of Islam is to convert, enslave or kill those who refuse to convert to Islam, whether it takes a decade or a century.

Mr.. Frank compares the warning in Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” to the statements Muslims are making today. He gives a number of examples such as the following portion of a speech by Abdurahman M. Alamoudi, when he spoke to the Palestine Islamic Association in Illinois in 1996, he said:

“Muslims sooner of later will be the moral leadership of America. It depends on me and you. Either we do it now or we do it after a hundred years, but this country will become a Muslim country. And I think if we are outside this country, we can say, “Oh Allah, destroy America.” But once we are here, our mission in this country is to change it.”

2)         That indoctrination to Islam has already started. Though the courts have ruled against the combining of government and religion and made it illegal to pray in a public school, to promote Judaism or Christianity, 7th graders in California are required to attend a three-week course on Islam. Among other requirements children recite Muslim prayer, chant praises to Allah, adopt a Muslim name, and wear Muslim garb.

3)         That modern media is becoming a casualty of political correctness. A Saudi prince purchased 5.46 percent of Fox News. When Fox reported the Muslim riots in France in 2006, the prince objected and effected a change in verbiage on the coverage which made the Islamic rioters appear to be victims of French society. There have also been attempts to silence journalists such as Cal Thomas.

Finally, Mr. Frank offers a quotation, not from modern-day Muslims or politicians, but from Sir Winston Churchill (The River War, First edition, 1899).

It says: “Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities but the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.”

While Frank may have derived the information upon which he has built his argument from sources listed early in the book, I would have been happier with “Brutally Frank” if he had cited sources, given book, and page number throughout.  He has cited the various passages in the Quran, but not more modern sources.

At times, Mr. Frank slips into an emotional rant, which negates some of his argument, but by, and large, for anyone interested in the future of this country and how radical Islamists may negatively impact it, I recommend this book. However, readers should keep in mind that “Brutally Frank: Militant Islam In America” is not a textbook with complete documentation, but a call to save our society, our descendants, and western civilization.
