You have two choices
in life: You can dissolve into the mainstream, or you can be distinct. To be distinct is to be different. To be different,
you must strive to be what no one else but you can be.

(A New Newsletter
Every Week)
The single greatest moment on any RV trip is the instant you turn the key on the ignition of your motorhome or tow
vehicle and hear the engine roar to life. You are about to untether yourself from your fixed-based life, and you feel a surge of
energy from deep within your soul. Adventure, excitement and discovery await, and that's a feeling that nearly all RVers experience
at each moment of departure.

It Bothers Me...
I know it would probably do me some good to be able to adopt a more accepting attitude towards
so-called friends of mine that just don't "get me"--what I'm about as a person (or apparently don't care to try); but my inclination
is just to have less & less to do with them, realizing they are more appropriately called---acquaintances, this opens
up the opportunity for others who are interested & do "get me" to come into my life.
I've had a few of these "friends" who can't be bothered to spend just a little
time exploring either one of my Websites. What am I supposed to make of that? I tell myself, that if any of them
had a Website, I couldn't wait to check it out & this might open up a little more insight into what makes this person
tick. In other words---
I WOULD CARE!
I also realize that just because you've known someone for years & years doesn't mean
your friendship is necessarily supposed to continue. As with all things in life--Change is a Constant.
I guess the time has come for me to move on, in more ways than one...
I'm Happy to report that less than a day after writing this I finally heard from someone
potentially on my Shit list, so the list is luckily--a short one!

I've Been a Photo Editing Fool...
I've been adding to the selection of Photos on Travel Photos Page for the better part of a week now, it's been a lot of work-but fun, too. It
brought back so many different memories of trips taken & sights seen & enjoyed over the years. Plain truth is
He's a Hell-of-a Good Photographer!
I'd like to give a shout of THANKS out to Mike for all his help in collaborating to
bring life to his Photography Page.

Rockets in the Sky!
I just got to see the Coolest thing--today the N.A.S.A. unmanned Rocket
took off on a 10 year long mission to explore Pluto & I got to watch it go Up, Up, Up & AWAY---through the atmosphere.
All I had to do was walk outside in the backyard & sit on the Dock railing, looking up toward the Northeast Sky, as the
white vapor trail, travelled through the air until it left our gravity laden atmosphere & entered
the beginnings of Space. Pretty--Awesome!!
Nothing like a little Space Travel to give a person a bit of a better perspective on earthly
travails...

What Do the "Experts" Really Know?
The team I was pulling for & a lot of the so
called "Experts" predicted would Win---Lost today, the Colts will not be going to the Super Bowl, after all. There were
some moments when I thought they might just pull it off--but they choked.
I sure hope I don't "choke"--I know I've just got to continue packing the RV, stop my worrying
& get on the road--what happens, happens. My family won't fall apart without me, will I--without them? Solo
RVing is not to be attempted by the fainthearted, there are a lot of doubters, those who tend to think you're a
bit weird or crazy, or just can't "get a man", as though that would solve anything...I know better!
Seriously though, there are times when I know I've been watching too
much of Forensic Files, on TV & getting myself scared of traveling by myself--I mean we just had a case last
week, here in Florida, where some crazed 19 year old randomly killed "Some Preppy Kids" who were camping in the Ocala National
Forest . My family looks at me like I'm nuts to be taking off in my RV on my own. I'll tell you one thing--I'll
be packing my Pepper Power Spray!

The List is Short! For Now, Anyway...
The good news is that my Mom's O.K., what a relief! She arrived back home a few days
ago, less a Gall Bladder--now she's on her way to a full recovery.
I've continued to make progress in regards to the ultimate goal of getting on the road.
Finally, the seemingly long checklist of items, written down many months ago, has shortened to all but a few items.
An all important item that I left for one of the last--is the Laptop. I needed all the time I could possibly get, in order to save up the $$ necessary
to purchase a used one outright--no damn payments for me on that purchase! I've
also had my eye on a beautiful, round Kapur wood (similar to teak) folding table that's perfect for my umbrella/screen enclosure, &
isn't too heavy, it finally went on sale for 50% off, so I ordered it--free shipping, to boot!
I certainly don't need any more bills than I already have to contend with, lucky for me,
things are pretty uncomplicated & manageable in that regard. I've been determined to get things that way, &
clear up as many outstanding debts as I possibly could, before leaving.
Something I've done amazingly well without for a couple years, since the last one I had crapped
out on me--is a cell phone. I've been researching how to go
about getting the right phone/plan without a contract & think I've come up with a solution;
to assume the no contract-Verizon plan my Dad has--the catch is that it's necessary for me to purchase a new phone, from them...but
at least I won't be indebted to them for 2 years.
In the process of my efforts to keep spending to a minimum, I've become a major homebody,
Computer Aficionado & Football Playoff Fan. That's not necessarily a bad thing just not super exciting, especially
when the home team loses, which the Bucs did all too horribly, yesterday. Now
I'll be watching to see what the Colts might be able to do...
