You have two choices in life: You can dissolve into the mainstream, or you can be distinct. To be distinct is to be different. To be different, you must strive to be what no one else but you can be.

The single greatest moment on any RV trip is the instant you turn the key on the ignition of your motorhome or tow vehicle and hear the engine roar to life. You are about to untether yourself from your fixed-based life, and you feel a surge of energy from deep within your soul. Adventure, excitement and discovery await, and that's a feeling that nearly all RVers experience at each moment of departure.

I Really Did It!!!
I finally got my nerve up & actually left in my RV Nov. 18th 2006, I've been RV camping ever since & have really been enjoying the whole experience, as well as gaining experience each & every day.  My very first stop as an official RV'er was at O'Leno State Park in High Springs, Fl. $15.00/day.  I had 2 different sites while I was there, both in the Magnolia Camping area.  Totally loved it, & I got pretty good at making a campfire, too.

I did find out that as a Single RV'er I had to make the move to be friendly, meeting & talking with others.  It would have been a bit too quiet if I had stayed completely to myself.  I have now moved on to an RV Park in White Springs, FL on the Suwannee River, there's a lot of camping in the area & I was fortunate enough to find Kelly's RV Park on Rt. 41 (they take Passport Amer., Camp Club USA among others) their monthly rate is very reasonable $235.00 plus tax, so I went ahead with that & paid for the whole month of December.

Since being on the road & using my rig I've had to have some additional plumbing work done to correct some leaks & will have to have the toilet repaired as well.  It was really nice to have a mobile repair service, that the Park recommended, (Tri-County RV Services-ask for Glen) come right to where I'm parked to service the rig so I didn't have to unhook & travel in unfamiliar territory.

I've met some really friendly people here & this Park has regular group events that make a person feel welcome.  It's going to get mighty cold tonight, by Florida standards & I'm really glad I bought an oscillating heater the 2nd day I camped--so I don't have to fire up the furnace.

So far so good, even though there's been a couple of challenges along the way, One being when the outside refrigerator compartment cover wasn't securely latched & it flew off on the road as I was traveling 50+mph!!  I was furtunate that there is a used RV Parts Store not too far from here & some nice folks took me there yesterday to pick up a replacement cover--for only $15.00!

I highly recommend Singles, & that includes Women on their own, not hesitate to try out this lifestyle!  My confidence has grown a lot in a short period of time & I really needed that...
