1st "The Basics" ~ The Condensed Version About Me ~ My Blog

As with most Major Lifestyle Transitions, there have been some bumps in the road along the way to this point in preparation to Travel.  Some involving Others, some involving Practical Matters & some involving Health Concerns.

I'm a 40 something, Single by choice woman.  I've loved to travel all throughout my life & have lived in several different states (8).  Attempting to maneuver the confines of the so called, "typical middle class life" felt like a noose around my neck for years.  After taking a Mountain Vacation get-a-way  http://wildernessviewcabins.com/ (staying in Windrush Cabin) about 5 or so years ago, at a time when I was badly burned out both Personally & Professionally (Licensed in both Therapeutic Massage & Professional Skin Care) I was able to totally relax & destress in a Naturally Beautiful Environment, which enabled me to seriously begin thinking creatively about divesting myself of most of my material possessions & simplifying my life.  So, that's how the process began.  It was only recently possible for me to purchase my RV & get on with the next step in living my "Ideal" lifestyle.

Most of you know that it was previously, extremely difficult for me to work a "regular job" with set hours, due to the Migraine Headaches which I've suffered from nearly my entire life.

Over the course of 2 years I've gained substantial relief & newfound Hope through Acupuncture Treatments by Dr. Carol Bates at Countryside Wellness Center in Clearwater, Florida (727)724-0488.  The Professional Practice of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine along with Classic Homeopathy has helped me more-so far, than anything else I've tried during 36 years of suffering from Migraines & I've tried a very long list of treatment protocols from a number of Clinicians, beginning when I was 12.   (Regular M.D.'s, Neurologist, Ophthalmologist, Environmental Medicine Specialist, A Multitude of Prescription Medications, Chiropractors, Nutritionists, Ortho-Molecular Psychiatry, Bio-Feedback, Counseling/Therapy, Group Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Allergy Injections, Prayer/Spirituality, 12 Step Programs, Journaling, Women's Retreats...the list continues...)

Dr. Bates knew how motivated I was & how much I wanted to improve.  The Treatments also helped me to admit what I already knew to be True, that my Healing would only go so far here in Florida, since it's not where I want to be & that in order to continue to Heal I would need to have the courage to follow my Dreams, Desires & Passions wherever they may lead me.

Hence, I have finally purchased my RV, which I've wanted for many years & plan on traveling as a lifestyle.  Traveling is especially Inspirational to me,    not only for My Spirit, it additionally Enhances  the Creativity essential to my Jewelry Designing.  I know the time is right for me to do it.

New Information

I have learned some new & very enlightening  information about my medical condition.  The type of Migraines I have are very rare, only 1 in 500 sufferers get this particular kind & it has a name BAM-Basilar Artery Migraine or BTM-Basilar Type Migraine.

It's very lonely at times to have this condition, I have never in the 36 years this has been going on, ever met anyone who has this particular type of illness.  I have lost jobs, relationships, social life, participation in sports & life in general, just to name a few.  I usually suffer in silence & shame as this directly affects my ability to support myself & this in turn affects my feelings about myself, it is a vicious circle. I hope to gain more understanding & to benefit from the work of this organization dedicated to helping people like myself.
