Questions & Answers

1.  Quality

Many homeschool programs are designed to simply "check off the box" for college admission requirements.  Likewise, community college classes are intended to meet the minimum standards for four year colleges.  They fly quickly through the material and do not provide the best environment for learning the language.  The goal of this program is to have students understand, speak, and read Spanish.

2.  Quantifiable Results -National Spanish Exam

Due to the instructor's professional affiliation with the  American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuges (AATSP), students are able to sit for the NSE (click here for more information.) This well recognized exam provides students the opportunity  to:

    • validate their knowledge,
    • receive national recognition for their  achievement in foreign language study,
    • apply for Spanish scholarships.

3.  Cost
Tuition includes use of textbook, audio, video and HomeTutor materials.  Even so, the fee for this high quality program is lower than any other Spanish program except the local community college (see #1 above.)

4.  Curriculum
All homeschool foreign language programs have the challenge of limited teacher-student interaction.  Choosing the perfect curriculum, then, becomes crucial to the success of the class.  The Bilingual Classroom is a captivating program that maintains the attention of every student regardless of his learning style preference.  It includes the typical textbook, but also provides audio and video support for daily study.

5.  Commitment
It is undeniable that the best foreign language program will include an experienced native speaker who uses a great curriculum.  The Bilingual Classroom meets that criteria and has the added benefit of a teacher who is committed to excellence.  See Meet the Teacher.

Every student is given the personal attention he/she needs to be successful.  The ultimate goal is to glorify God by preparing and encouraging students to maximize every opportunity and God given talent.

"As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."        1 Peter 4:10-12
