It is out of the
depths of my heart I write, These words of Love for my wonderful brother. Although our remaining brothers are four; He
is one all hearts will always adore.
He was full of fun, a heart full of laughter; Could make you smile even
after a disaster. Just rush to your side saying, "what's the matter?" And paint you a joke; make you laugh faster
"Phillip
Agustus" my mother would call him. Like Daddy, we had names like big head or Gus. Of course Diane his wife could
just say Phil. Even handing him some water behind that old pill.
His heart was made happy seeing Cheryl and Shanaa`; Two
beautiful nieces with whom he loved to play. Let's not forget Kershawn, his nephew competition, The small boy genius,
trying to teach him religion
Every one loved him though he'd give you a time. Tight as a neck tie, couldn’t squeeze
him out of a dime.
Desired so to see his niece Destiny matriculate; His spirit was so willing, but his
heart couldn't wait
So long our loving Gus, we sisters are five this day. Your loving nieces and
nephews in VA are on the way. Our prayers were hard and long for God to keep you alive. Although your loving sisters,
you treated us like wives. Our love for you will never die cause we can feel your touch As we remember you
a special person; to us you mean so much.

Note: Today is March 7, 2007 Miracle at 56 passed on last
night after surviving two other operations after that poem was written and three hospital illnesses this year. In January
at the end of the month his valve was infected which is par for the course, he survived. In February, couldn't sleep
at night, and his potassium was high. He walked out of the hospital on Saturday morning, knowing within him that he
would not return again, nor would he be around long. He got up very early to attend Church on Sunday.
On Monday he pressed his way to go with Charlie to the Airport in Raleigh, NC to see Brother Marvin off to Louisiana. He fought a good fight, he kept the Faith and Ran the Race with patience
knowing Jesus would be there to receive him unto the Father in Heaven. I thank God for his life. The doctor said
he had a tough heart and I said he had tough love. I left him on Saturday night March 3, 2007 to come home to rest.
He departed Tuesday night, March 6, 2007.
