Dear Brothers & Sisters,
I always think updating this on a quarterly basis
should be easy and I find that it to is a challenge. Seems like our retreat was
just weeks ago instead of already 2 months.
We are now midway into to the Advent Season a
time for us to “maybe” catch our breath, a time to reflect, a time to look inward at our own lives and the direction
we ourselves are going. It’s a time of great hope for what we are anticipating
in the next couple of weeks.
Hope is what we need in our world today. I would lay odds that all of us have been affected in some way with our economy slowdown. Maybe this also has been why we can’t catch our own breath. As deacon’s we are always reaching out to the poor, to those in need and today more than ever.
As much as we reach out to those around us, let
always be aware of those within our own community who may be in need too. If
there are those in the community who are suffering in this economy and could use some assistance please let me know, in confidence,
and I will see what can be done.
May this Advent Season bring you hope & peace.
