What is an electronic ticket?
You book your flight as usual, but your ticket is no longer printed on paper.
Instead, it is stored in the reservation system as an electronic ticket or
e-ticket.
We send you a receipt by mail fax or e-mail.
E-tickets are available for more and more cities all over the world.

What are the advantages of electronic ticketing?
- Safer: An e-ticket cannot be
forgotten, misplaced or stolen. You board your flight as usual.
Airlines also accept a passport or identity card as identification at a check-in
counter.
- Faster: If you need to change
or cancel your reservation you do not need return the paper ticket. A simple phone call is all it takes.
- Reliable: Your receipt will
come by standard mail or by fax or e-mail.
- Cheaper: e-tickets are exempt
from the new service fee that applies to many types of traditional tickets.
With an e-ticket you now save at least 20 USD / ticket.

How to check-in with an e-ticket
- At a check-in machine:
If you travel with carry-on luggage only, you can avoid waiting in a queue
at the airport by using one of the automated check-in machines (where available).
You can use the same credit card you used for your booking. The machine prints
out your boarding card and you can proceed directly to the gate.
- At a check-in counter:
When you check-in your baggage or when you leave from an airport without any
automated check-in machines, you can collect your boarding card at a check-in desk.
Here you can also use your passport or ID card to identify yourself.
Note: You must show printed proof of travel when entering a US airport. We
recommend that you always carry a printed receipt of your e-ticket with you regardless of your destination.
