Something beautiful for your day...
Some of those most beautiful photographs I've seen. Makes me want to hop a flight to Santa Monica and see the exhibit
there.
Enjoy!

I saw this photo on the NPR website. There's a good meditation story in this photo...don't you think? It
caught my fancy anyway.

Keeping it simple...
"The emergence and blossoming of understanding, love and intelligence has nothing to do with
any tradition, no matter how ancient or impressive - it has nothing to do with time. It happens completely on its own when
a human being questions, wonders, listens and looks without getting stuck in fear, pleasure and pain. When self concern is
quiet, in abeyance, heaven and earth are open. The mystery, the essence of all life is not separate from the silent openness
of simple listening. "

From the mat...
I'm posting this first post from my yoga mat. I started my practice today doing a little Yin Yoga and listening
to a show from Public Radio called Speaking of Faith. The show is "Stress and the Balance Within", an interview with
Dr. Esther Sternberg, a biomedical researcher. Here's a link...
From this link you can listen to or read the interview. Toward the end of the interview Dr. Sternberg says..."it
may not always be possible, but I do think we need to find, each one of us, our place of peace and try to go there every day.
" So with that...I'll dive back in to the place I've found that works best for me...my yoga mat.
