Receives Trading Assistant License from Commonwealth Local eBay Seller Doug Luthringer, owner of Thefastmall, an eBay consignment, consulting and training company, received his Trading Assistant license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on Feb 6th, 2009. This license authorizes Mr. Luthringer to sell for others on any internet bidding platform. “This license helps legitimize the trading assistant profession and puts citizens at ease that licensed trading assistants are meeting state requirements,” said Doug Luthringer. Under Senate Bill 908 of 2007, the license is required for any “individual who, for a commission or a fee, conducts or intends to conduct business within this commonwealth of accepting personal property to sell on behalf of another through an online internet bidding platform.” Licenses are issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of State, Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs, and processed through the State Board of Auctioneer Examiners. The law went into effect mid-December of 2008. “I have been selling on eBay for over nine years and have been selling on consignment for people and business for nearly four years. The most important task I have is building trust not just with my clients, but with my buyers and bidders as well”, says Mr. Luthringer. “This license should establish a bottom line of trust that will set my company apart from other entities who have not gone through the licensing and bonding requirements.” Doug Luthringer is a local eBay education specialist and registered trading assistant (PA LIC #TRA000007). He has been selling in eBay for over nine years and has nearly 5,000 unique positive comments and over 7,500 transactions. Doug is also a United States Marine Corps veteran and holds a degree in Business Management/Operations Management option from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. |
