It's All Me

What's it like to be me? More importantly why should it matter? Perhaps you've come across this site accidently or maybe you've come through professional contacts. Either way, here I am ready to explain.

I'm a freelance writer, poet, mom all into one. I also homeschool my kids. I'm busy, in short. But I love the outdoors and love to talk long walks to cool my thoughts.

I love ideas. I love to garden. I love gardening with my kids, my Little Gardeners.

I grew up in a small town in Northwestern Ohio and lived there for 18 long years, had some good times, some bad times. The whole cliche got boring I suppose and I had to eventually move to a bigger city. And of course the cliche grew and I ended up moving to a smaller city again.

Here I am in south central Ohio with seven cats, a dog and a lot of grass to mow. Plenty space to garden though. And plenty to create my creative spaces.

Autumn’s Calling

The song of Autumn whispers
her descent onto Earth
It won’t be long until the sound of birds
in masses will be heard

A time for preparation
of changes to come again
to prepare for winter’s wrath
for contemplation of inner journeys

Day and night are becoming one again
in length and spirit
the winds are picking up
the animals are preparing
I hear her calling to me

I grab the words and throw them
on the paper
They nibble at me
intoxicating me with their thrill.
