Recommended Care

Although the manufacturer offers a Rustproof Guarantee! These Wind Spinners are painted with a powder coating to prevent rusting. To protect the vibrant color of your Spinner, we recommend using a UV Protector when placing it outside. To insure your Spinners stays bright and shiny for many years, spray a UV protector on the spinner before you put the spinner outdoors. You can find a UV protector in mostly any store that has a lawn & Garden department. Ask for a spray to protect your lawn & garden ornaments from fading in the sun. We recommend that you spray your wind spinner every spring. This will help to insure that they will stay bright & shiny for years.

The fishing swivel provided with the Wind Spinner will wear out in time. A replacement can be found at any store that sells fishing supplies. A ball bearing swivel is highly recommended for extended life.

Is your Wind Spinner Not Turning as well as expected? When the wind is still, nothing will turn, however, to maximize your Spinners turning ability, we recommend placing the spinner on a piece of fishing line. There is very little restriction on fishing line and your Spinner will turn with just a small breeze. Be sure to use fishing line heavy enough to hold your spinner. (4lb. test) and change it once a year to insure it's strength.

Maximize Spinning Effect.

If your spinner is flat, meaning the fins are slightly bent but not enough to allow the air to easily go between them, the spinner will swing instead of spin. To maximize the spinning effect, the total distance of all fins should be between 60 and 65 degrees.
