October Dance

Please join us as we welcome Howard Hoffman to call and cue for our dance on October 10^th.  Just a reminder that we will be dancing at our new location:  Kaneland Harter Middle School at 1601 Esker Drive in Sugar Grove, IL. (just west of Route 47 on Harter Road.)  Squares begin at 7:30 p.m.

 Meeting

There will be a members meeting after the dance on October 10^th  to discuss some important issues that have come up recently .  Please plan to attend.

Halloween Special

Sugar Squares will be celebrating Halloween this year with a special dance featuring callers Tom Manning and Bob Asp with Leta Thomas cuing rounds.  It is always fun to see what great costumes Tom, Bob, Leta, and Cinda show up in.  Our members and guests are encouraged to come in costumes (if they would like) and prizes will be awarded.  Please pass out flyers at area clubs.  This is always a great dance – plan to be there.

Lessons

Unfortunately, Sugar Squares will NOT be having lessons this year at Waubonsee Community College.  We would like to thank Bob and Cinda Asp for their support of this program.  A special thank you to Reid and Dawn Root for working with Waubonsee Community College.

Condolences

Our members offer their sympathy to Mary Lou and Lou Mosher on the passing of Mary Lou’s mother last week.  Please remember Bob and Judy Stran as they mourn the death of their granddaughter. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Dues

Please pay your annual dues ($60) to Don & Sherry Manke as soon as possible.  The club needs your support to pay for our dances and remain financially healthy.

Banner News!!!

Sugar Squares dancers attended the Naper Squares dance to retrieve our banner and we attempted to steal at B’n’B Batavia this month.  Please try to support the club by going to steal and retrieve from other clubs in our area.  Help our banner chairpersons, Earlene & Rodger Haga and Ceil & Jerry Bahl, when they call or send e-mail.  Return phone messages and reply to e-mail to let them know if you plan to steal or retrieve.  We need your help.  Thanks for your support.
