The
Harvest Hoedown
Mike
Richard will be the caller at our dance on November 14. Ron
Ashenden will cue rounds. Sugar Squares is holding a turkey
raffle that night—be sure to attend.
October Dances
Sugar
Squares would again like to thank Howard Hoffman for calling
and cuing for us at our October dance. B’n’B Batavia stole
our banner that night. Everyone had a great time.
Our
Halloween dance was a lot of fun. Bob and Cinda Asp, Tom
Manning, and Leta Thomas were the Beverley Hillbillies and
their costumes were fantastic. Irene Smith (clown) and Fred
Piper (pirate) won prizes for the best costumes. Oceanwaves
took home our banner.
Cider
and Donuts
We would
like to thank everyone who showed up at Al & Sue Withey’s
home to press apple cider for the dances in October—Jerry
Bahl, Gary Braffet, Clark & Dee Dennis, Don Manke, Reid
Root, Bob Stran, and Al & Sue Withey (if I forgot anyone, I
apologize in advance.) There is absolutely nothing like
fresh pressed cider; we look forward to having it at the
October dance every year. Many thanks to Sue Withey for
cooking the delicious chili and for those divine cookies,
hot from the oven.
Banner News!!!
Sugar
Squares dancers stole the banner at SideKicks last month and
attended dances at B’n’B Batavia and Oceanwaves to retrieve
our banners. Support the club by going to steal and
retrieve from other clubs in our area. Many thanks to
Earlene Haga for coordinating the banner stealing and
retrieving for the club this year . Please remember to reply
to Earlene’s weekly e-mails to let her know if you plan to
steal or retrieve. We need your help.
