A brand new church plant is coming to Hicksville, Ohio.  Over the past ten years, as we lived in Hicksville and I pastored 14 miles away in Grabill, Indiana, we referred to Hicksville as "The Gateway to the Midwest".  We have had a lot of fun with that, and now the name will take on new meaning and significance as we call our new church Gateway Chapel.  We want our new church to be:
  • A gateway to Heaven, with an emphasis on sharing the gospel with the lost
  • A gateway to God, so that people can grow in their relationship with Him
  • A gateway to truth as we stress the teaching of God's Word
  • A Gateway to the world, as we emphasize the Great Commission and reaching out to the world through missions.

We are now beginning to meet with people for prayer and planning.  We thank the Lord for this new outreach, and on behalf of my wife Pati and our three sons, we thank the Missionary Church Association for the opportunity to work together for the furtherance of the gospel and the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

If you would like to be a part of this new ministry in Hicksville please feel free to email or give us a call at 419 542 8898.  We would love to have you join us.

We will be updating the web site on a regular basis as the Lord continues to unfold his plans for this ministry.

For information about Pastor Jack and the new Gateway Chapel church plant coming soon to Hicksville click on the "About the Author" tab.

This book is an absolutely unique and fun way to memorize God's Word, and apply its principles to your life.  It is filled with practical ways to overcome discouragement, temptation, and negative thinking.  It can be used for individual study or as a discipleship tool for groups, and it is for people of all ages.

The uniqueness of the book is its ability to equip the reader to memorize over 100 riches in Christ.  This is accomplished through the use of the alphabet and "memory pegs."

Children as young as six years old, and adults in their nineties have been able to memorize and benefit from their riches in Christ by using the methods found in this book

Some folks are using Rich in Christ as a home schooling textbook.  Your kids can learn over 100 riches in Christ.

Rich in Christ  was taken to Russia and the Ukraine in September of 2005.    Pastor Jack was able  to share the principles of this brand-new book with 300 pastors and Christian workers.   Copies of Rich in Christ  were provided as gifts and taught from during a two week missions and training trip this past September.

Pastor Jack traveled with a team of five others, representing Advancing Native Missions from Charlottesville, Virginia.

Some of the highlights of the trip were:

  • A visit to Perm, Russia, where the team was asked to minister at the former Lenin's Palace of Culture.  This former Communist, atheistic training center is now a chruch building where two thousand worship each week.

  • A three day stay at a former Communist indoctrination  camp in the Ukraine under Nikita Khrushcher.  Amazingly, the camp is now called Open Doors Bible Camp, where Bible camps are held for children in the summer, and where the ANM team held a Bible Conference for Ukrainian pastors and Christian Workers.

  • One of the translators took the 105 riches from Rich in Christ, and translated them in to Russian for the conference attenders.

  • Getting to spend time with some of the "street kids" who live in the Russian city of Izhevsk.
